A Crisis in Urban Communities

America's urban communities are in crisis. The invasive spread of poverty, substance abuse, and violence in Detroit and other urban areas has put an entire generation at risk of falling into negative lifestyles, which can result in a life spent in and out of prison cells. New Creations Community Outreach works with disadvantaged families and individuals to help them overcome the inherent challenges of life in poor communities, and has been especially effective in its work helping to transition former prisoners back into the community.

Time spent in prison is difficult, but the return to life in the community can often be more traumatic. Reestablishing a safe place within a community can be a daunting process for many men and women, and former prisoners often feel their only option is to reengage with crime and drugs.

New Creations Community Outreach is helping to change this-to make returning to life in the community not just a possibility but a real second chance for former prisoners who are ready to reenter society. More than ever, the health of our urban communities depends on the ability of its men and woman to fully transition from life in prison to a productive and positive life within the community.

An internationally recognized leader in prisoner aftercare, New Creations Community Outreach works in cooperation with church and community leaders and state and local agencies.

By providing former prisoners and their families with support, during their transition, and teaching them the necessary skills to take back their lives, New Creations Community Outreach is helping to transform urban communities - one life at a time.
